Should I adopt a dog which has tested positive for tick-borne diseases? - sweets lyme disease
My wife and I are saved in the process of finding and establishing a Labrador from a laboratory to agency. We are currently considering adopting a dog 2 years old Bowie big names, but one thing to their host family told me that he tested positive for exposure to Lyme disease and ehrlichiosis (two diseases transmitted by ticks).
I wonder if anyone has any experience with this. I read a lot on the internet about this and I'm still not sure whether the dog will have health problems all his life, regardless of the treatment, or if truly effective treatment can return the dog is completely normal. We are dog owners when a dog with serious health problems, probably not in good hands with us because of our inexperience.
This dog is very impressive. Very gentle, very calm, very intelligent and curious about what people are about them.
